Hand stretch wrap film is used to hold items together in packaging and pelleting applications. Stretch films are designed to cling tightly to objects and provide a secure overwrap to protect them from shifting during transport. Stretch films can also be used to wrap pallets by hand. Our hand films consist of 12 inch, 15 inch, and 18 inch roll widths with 60-120 gauge options.
How to use Hand Stretch Film?
Hand stretch film wrap is typically applied by hand or a hand wrapping dispenser. Hand rolls usually way less than 10 pounds and are easy to handle. Hand stretch film is wound onto 3" corrugated cores and can fit most hand dispensers. Most all Hand wrap dispensers have a braking system that allows operators to achieve a tighter stretch of the film when applying to a pallet or load, which generally will reduce hand film consumption during wrapping operations.

How Strong is Stretch Film?
The strength of hand stretch film depends on several variables which include the following:
1. Gauge of Hand Stretch Wrap: This refers to the thickness of the film. Higher gauge films are generally stronger.
2. Type Hand Stretch Wrap: Cast and blown films have different properties. Blown films are typically stronger and more puncture-resistant.
3. Stretch Ratio Of Hand Stretch Film: How much the film can be stretched without breaking. Higher stretch ratios often indicate stronger film.

How To Measure Hand Stretch Film Strength?
1. Light-duty: 60 gauge, suitable for light loads up to 1,600 lbs.
2. Medium-duty: 80 gauge, versatile for loads up to 2,400 lbs.
3. Heavy-duty: 100 gauge and above, ideal for loads over 2,400 lbs. and items with sharp edges
